My 10 Favorite Foods (As of Now)

Let's be honest. Food is awesome. The culinary arts are a combination of art, science, math...and love. It comes full circle: Food is love, and we love food.

Tonight we had take-out from King Wok. I don't even know everything I ate, but I do know that it was delicious. Crab Rangoon, cashew chicken, egg rolls...YUM.

In honor of the satisfying meal I had tonight, I have made a list of my 10 all-time favorite foods (as of now).

1. Spaghetti. My mom makes this amazing spaghetti sauce, and I'm in heaven every time I eat it. I hope she gives me the recipe when I move out.

2. Crab Rangoon. The crunchy, crisp exterior and the creamy, smooth interior balance each other out to make this appetizer delicious.

3. Broccoli Chicken Penne. We made this in Foods 1, and at first I didn't think I would like it since I'm not too keen about pasta dishes (besides spaghetti), but when I tried it, it was great. I made it for my family and they loved it as well.

4. Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Another recipe from Foods class, this appetizer is also served at Red Lobster. I literally could not get enough of these when we made them in class. One time I tried to make it at home, but I didn't mix the batter thoroughly so it didn't turn out too well. I'm probably gonna try again in the future, but this time I'll mix it better.

5. Chocolate chip pancakes. Need I say more?

6. Chocolate Eclair cake. In my family, we get to pick out what kind of cake we want on our birthday, and I always choose chocolate eclair cake. It consists of vanilla cream, graham crackers, and chocolate icing. It may sound a little weird, but I guarantee it's awesome.

7. Ghetto s'mores. Jessie and I make these when we have sleepovers at my place. We can never find all the traditional ingredients, so we improvise when we need to. Last time, we had graham crackers and mini marshmallows, but no chocolate, so we used chocolate pudding instead. It was great.

8. Smoothies. Honestly, I'm an expert at making these. They're really healthy and an all-around great beverage.

9. Chocolate Mousse. Yet another one from Foods 1. It was tricky to make since we had to separate the eggs like Nazis but in the end it turned out fine.

10. Smoked salmon. I've only had it once, but I distinctly remember that it was fantastic. Fishy fishy.

So those are my 10 favorite foods as of now. The reason I say 'as of now' is because I'm always willing to try new things, even if they look disgusting. Like dipping vegetable chips into pudding (not too bad, actually). So yeah, food.
